Christine Wu, Piano
American pianist Christine Wu has performed throughout North America and Europe, in venues including Lincoln Center and Merkin Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater, Petit Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, and Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Praised by the ›New York Times‹ for her »arresting« playing, Christine Wu is a prize-winner of competitions including the 29th Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition, Washington International Competition, and American International Paderewski Piano Competition. She has performed as a solo and chamber musician in music festivals including the Tanglewood Music Center, Leipzig’s International Mendelssohn-Akademie, the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and the Aspen Music Festivals. Christine Wu holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School and is a doctoral candidate at the Yale School of Music. Her primary teachers have included Hung Kuan Chen, Peter Frankl, Christopher Elton, and Peter Serkin.
