Federico Ceppetelli, Violin
Federico Ceppetelli was born in Milan in 1993 and received his first violin lessons at the age of four at the Suzuki Music School in Milan. In 2008 he joined the class of Olexander Semchuk at the Accademia di alto Perfezionamento in Imola. He completed his bachelor’s degree with highest distinction at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan in October 2015. He also studied with Ilya Grubert at the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro and with the Trio di Parma at the International Chamber Music Academy in Duino. In 2016 Ceppetelli began studying for a master’s degree with Friedemann Wezel at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig, graduating cum laude in 2019. Since 2019 he has lived in Karlsruhe. He began studying with Laurent Albrecht Breuninger in the contemporary music master’s programme and was accepted to the master class in 2021. He participated in master courses such as the Klangspuren Schwaz International Ensemble Modern Academy and the International Concert Weeks in Goslar. Federico Ceppetelli’s active concert life has taken him to the Grafenegg Festival, the Lucerne Festival and the ZeitGenuss Festival, among others. He was concertmaster of the new music ensemble of the Karlsruhe Music Academy at the 2019 ZeitGenuss Festival and has been a soloist and ensemble member in concerts conducted by Mindaugas Piecaitis, Peter Eötvös and Peter Tilling. Furthermore he has worked with composers such as Johannes Kreidler, Toni Völker, Márton Illés, Heinz Holliger and many others. From 2014 to 2016 he was a member of the baroque ensemble Armoniosa, with which he recorded the complete ›Stravaganza‹ by Antonio Vivaldi under the baton of Reinhard Goebel for the MDG label. He held scholarships from the DAAD and the Heinrich Hertz Society and was a substitute in the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
