Grzegorz Chwalinski, Percussion

Grzegorz Chwaliński (b. 2000) is a Polish musician who participates regularly in different music festivals, events, concerts and competitions as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician. He is a versatile percussionist practicing many contrasting styles in music. Since 2015 he has been recognized as a charismatic soloist and chamber musician in many national and international competitions. In 2018, he received the prestigious artistic scholarship »Young Poland« from the Polish Minister of Culture. In October 2019, Grzegorz Chwaliński received the 3rd prize at the Majaoja International Percussion Competition in Finland. With his percussion trio Gang Ta, he was the winner of the 3rd prize at the 2022 International Percussion Competition in Luxembourg . In August 2021, Grzegorz Chwaliński graduated with a bachelor’s degree in percussion after studying with Gert Mortensen at The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. Since 2021, Grzegorz Chwaliński has been continuing his studies at the Stuttgart Academy of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Marta Klimasara and Klaus Dreher. In 2021, Grzegorz Chwaliński was selected as a soloist for the World Percussion Group for the 2021 season. In the same year he was chosen as a young artist of the Kolberg Percussion company. In 2023, Grzegorz Chwaliński received the prestigious DAAD scholarship for outstanding achievements by foreign students. He cooperates and performs with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the CopenhagenPhil, Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, Stuttgart State Opera, Bayerische Philharmonie, the Warsaw Chamber Opera and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra.
