Sunghyun Lee, Composer
Sunghyun Lee (b .1995) is a composer from Seoul, South Korea. He received his Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and completed his master's programme at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy, graduating with summa cum laude honours. During his studies, he was mentored by distinguished composers such as Unsuk Chin, Ivan Fedele, Oliver Schneller, and Uzong Choe. Currently, Sunghyun Lee is continuing his compositional studies under the guidance of Oliver Schneller at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Sunghyun Lee has received a number of awards in various competitions, including the Geneva International Music Competition and the "Appassionato Ensemble" International Competition. He has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Barcelona Modern Ensemble, Ensemble Mise-en, Schallfeld Ensemble, Ictus Ensemble, Ensemble Novecento, Quatuor Voce, Trio Estatico, Ensemble TIMF, Zohn Collective, AsianArt Ensemble, Ensemble Phase, Ensemble Blank, Sori Percussion, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing his versatility and playful compositions.
